TITO
TITO — ticket in, ticket out — covers the tickets that carry value around your floor.
What the view shows
Tickets with their value, where they were issued and where they were redeemed, and their current state.
Follow the chain, not the ticket
The useful thing here is the chain. A ticket has an origin and a destination, and where one ticket was produced from another there is a sequence — origin, previous, next, destination — that you can walk in either direction.
Following that chain is how you reconstruct where value went. A single ticket tells you little; the chain tells you the story.
Faces on tickets
Where face recognition is configured, a ticket can carry the recognised subject associated with it, linking the ticket to a person and their history rather than stopping at a ticket number.
That is frequently the point of the exercise: not which ticket, but who.
From a ticket to the video
Tickets carry timestamps and locations, so they lead to the footage of issue and redemption. Where a ticket's history looks odd, the recording settles it.
The route runs both ways. From a ticket, the row tools open the camera that covered it. From playback, a camera associated with a TITO-capable machine now offers a TITO tile beside the ratings and bet-session tiles: it lists the tickets for that machine in step with the video, so scrubbing the recording moves the list, and picking a ticket moves the recording. From a ticket in that list you can drill to the ticket, the patron, the employee or an override.
That is the tile to open when the question is "what was this machine doing while I was watching it", rather than "where did this one ticket go".
This action is recorded in the audit trail.
What to look for
- Tickets redeemed a long way from where they were issued
- Chains that branch unexpectedly
- A redemption by somebody other than the person issued the ticket
- Values inconsistent with the play that produced them
Each is a question rather than a finding, and each is answered by the video rather than by more figures.
Exporting
TITO data exports as CSV, which is what you want for reconciliation against other systems. See Exporting Data.
