Gaming Floor

The gaming floor view shows your tables and their current state — a live picture of what is open, what is busy, and what is not.

What it is for

Situational awareness. It answers "what is happening on the floor right now?" at a glance, which is what a supervisor needs and what no report provides.

It belongs on a screen somebody is actually watching: a second monitor, or a dashboard on a wall.

Reading it

Tables show their state and current activity. The useful reading is the exception — the table open and idle, the one busier than its neighbours, the one whose state has not changed when it should have.

Once you know what a normal evening looks like on this view, an abnormal one is obvious without reading anything.

From the floor to the detail

Selecting a table leads to its activity: the ratings, rounds and events behind what you are seeing. From there the video, and from there whatever the actual question was.

Devices

Tables and gaming devices are configured under Management, including adding devices and grouping them into areas.

Name a device after its location rather than its serial number. That name appears on every result this module produces, and five minutes spent on it saves everyone time indefinitely.

Alongside live events

The floor view shows state; Live Events shows the stream of things happening. Together they give a fuller picture than either alone, and they pair well on one screen.

Requirements

The floor view depends on the corresponding capability being enabled for your installation. Where it is not, the view does not appear in the drawer — that is licensing rather than a fault.
