PDF Reports
Subject and plate profiles export as PDF documents, for case files, briefings and handing to people outside eConnect.
Producing one
Export PDF report on a subject profile or plate profile. You choose which sections to include before generating.
Plate summary reports are new in version 11, matching what subject profiles already offered.
Choosing sections
Include what the reader needs and nothing else. A short report gets read; a fifty-page one gets skimmed.

There is a limit on how many images a report can carry, adjustable when generating. Fewer, well-chosen images beat every detection in the period — the reader wants the ones that make the case.
Preview before generating
A preview is available before the document is produced. Use it. It is much quicker than generating, reading, adjusting and regenerating, and it shows immediately whether the section choices were right.
Reports leave eConnect
A generated PDF is outside the permission system. Whoever holds it can read all of it.
Two things follow:
- It contains what you could see, so sending it to somebody with narrower access gives them more than they would otherwise have.
- It contains personal data and images, bringing your organisation's data-protection obligations into play — including wherever the file ends up afterwards.
Treat a report as evidence: keep it where evidence is kept, and attach it to a case rather than leaving it in a downloads folder.
