Baccarat Settings
The Baccarat module has its own settings tile under Settings ▸ Modules, covering alert thresholds and how table data is handled.
Alert thresholds
The module can raise alerts when a table crosses a configured threshold, so unusual activity reaches somebody without the board being watched continuously.
Several thresholds are available, each defining a condition on table activity worth being told about.
Setting thresholds that get acted on
The failure mode is familiar: thresholds set too tight produce alerts constantly, operators stop reading them, and the genuinely unusual one is dismissed with the rest.
Two rules:
- Set a threshold only where you can say what somebody should do about it. If the answer is "nothing, just noting it", it should not be raising an alert — an Event History widget is the right tool for awareness.
- Start loose and tighten. A threshold that fires twice a shift gets read. One that fires twice an hour does not.
Everything in Alert Preferences about alert fatigue applies here.
Data settings
Options governing how table data is recorded and interpreted — including bet recording and how the module handles the shoe.
These affect what Statistics and Trends show, so changing them changes how historical figures compare with new ones. Note when you change something, or a step in the figures will later look like a change in the game.
Reveal controls
The module has controls governing what is revealed on live boards. These bear on what players can see and are a floor-policy decision rather than a technical one — set them to match how your operation runs, in consultation with whoever owns that policy.
Table Manager
Tables are maintained under the module's own settings tile. Each carries:
| Field | What it decides |
|---|---|
| Name | What the table is called everywhere else |
| Shoe Type | Which electronic shoe the table uses |
| Enabled | Whether the table is in use at all |
| Online | Whether it is currently connected and reporting |
Shoe type has to match the hardware on the table: it decides how the reads coming off the shoe are interpreted, so a table set to the wrong one produces results that look plausible and are not.
Permissions
Baccarat settings have their own permission keys, separate from viewing baccarat data. Someone can watch the board all shift without being able to change thresholds, which is usually right. See Permission Groups.
What is recorded
Settings changes are audited under the administration types. See Reading the Audit Trail.
