Trends and Roads

Roads are the traditional grids baccarat players use to follow a shoe. The module presents the same ones your floor uses, live and historically.

Baccarat Trends, with the roads drawn from the shoe

The roads

RoadWhat it records
Bead RoadEvery outcome in the order it happened
Big RoadOutcomes grouped into streaks, so runs are visible
Big Eye RoadWhether the Big Road is behaving regularly or erratically

The Bead Road is the raw record; the Big Road is how players actually read a shoe; the Big Eye Road is a commentary on the Big Road.

Live boards and walls

Roads are shown live for tables in play, and can be presented on a wall display for the floor. That is the same information your players are tracking, which is the point — the floor sees what the tables see.

History

Historical roads let a shoe or a session be reviewed after the fact, which is what you want when reconstructing a period rather than watching one.

What the module also tracks

Alongside the roads, the outcomes that matter to the game: banker and player wins, ties, naturals, pairs on either side, and the commissions arising.

Those feed Statistics, where the question moves from "how is this shoe running?" to "how is this table performing?"

A caution worth stating

Roads describe the past

A road records what a shoe has done. It does not indicate what it will do — each hand is independent of those before it.

Roads are shown because players use them and because a floor needs to see what its players see. Read them as a record of the shoe, not as a prediction, and be careful about drawing operational conclusions from a pattern that is simply how randomness looks.

Exporting

Export produces a PDF by default — the format a trends board is usually wanted in, since it is a picture of a pattern rather than a table of numbers. CSV is the other choice on the same button, for analysis outside eConnect. See Exporting Data.

The table and shoe pickers in the toolbar search as you type, which matters on a floor with many tables: type three characters rather than scrolling a list of two hundred.
