Facial Rec Tools

The Facial Recognition Tools in the eConnect integration provide advanced capabilities directly within the Genetec system. These tools allow users to:

• Search by face.
• Search by metadata.
• Manage faces with features such as tagging and metadata management.

Prerequisites

• Ensure the eConnect integration is installed and configured in Genetec Security Center.
• You must have the appropriate permissions to access facial recognition tools.
• You must have the eConnect Facial Recognition Module

How to Use Facial Recognition Tools

Step 1: Access Facial Recognition Tools

1. Open Genetec Security Center and log in to your account.
2. Click the Facial Recognition Tools icon in the toolbar.

Step 2: Search by Face

1. Navigate to the Search by Face section.
2. Upload a photo or select a video frame to initiate the search.
3. Review the search results, open the face profile, etc

Step 3: Search by Metadata

1. Go to the Search by Data section.
2. Enter relevant search params such as last name or an case number
3. View the results filtered by your search criteria.

Step 4: Manage Faces

1. Navigate to the Face Management section.
2. Use tools to tag individuals, add or edit metadata, and organize profiles.
3. Save changes to ensure updates are applied across the system.

Step 5: New Face Enrollment

1. Navigate to the Search by Face section.
2. Search the database for the face you want to enroll
3. If no face is found, proceed to add the face by clicking on the + sign.
4. If an existing face was found - compare if its the same person. If not, add it.
