Alert Options

eConnect provides real-time alerts for specific events, offering users immediate access to associated video and data. When alerts occur, users can choose from the following options:

  • Popup Alert
    • Show in Genetec the eConnect Alert
  • Auto Follow
    • Auto load a Genetec monitor page and add the context to the alert in a row
  • Auto Ack
    • Acknowledge that you are handling the alert automatically, which will prevent this alert from showing or processing on other machines.

Alert Options

The Popup Alert brings notifications directly to the Genetec tray and organizes them by priority level: Low, Medium, High, and Emergency.

Available Actions:​

  • Ignore the Alert: If permitted by the configured rules, the alert can be dismissed without action.
  • Acknowledge the Alert: Acknowledging an alert will close it on all other machines to prevent duplication.
  • Drill into the Alert: Clicking on the alert opens the video feed and associated data for in-depth analysis.

Auto Follow​

With Auto Follow enabled, incoming alerts are automatically displayed on the primary monitor in a dedicated tab for the specific subject.

Key Features:​

  • Subject-Specific Tabs: For example, if Facial Recognition identifies a subject like "Joe Bifflestick," a dedicated tab will be created for tracking.
  • Real-Time Updates: As the subject moves through the property and triggers additional alerts, the tab will update with their latest location, ensuring seamless monitoring.
