Data Associations
The power of the eConnect system lies in its seamless ability to integrate any data source with other data sources, including cameras. This integration creates a highly effective system where video feeds are enriched with contextual data, enabling operators to make rapid and informed decisions without needing to consult other departments or external databases. eConnect brings this functionality directly to you.
Steps to Associate Data:

Access the Associations Page:
- Click on the Associations icon in the setup page.

Select a Plugin:
- Use the left column to select a plugin, such as Cameras.
- This will display all your cameras along with their current associations.

Select a Second Plugin:
- In the right column, select the desired data source (e.g., Face Rec).

Drag and Drop Associations:
- Drag and drop the selected data source to the appropriate camera or other data source.
Pro Tip: You can associate a single data source with multiple cameras. When an event occurs in Genetec, all associated cameras will load simultaneously, providing comprehensive coverage, such as both overview and close-up shots.
